No wind? No problem. Anywhere, anytime, the 4-D flies when all your other kites are on the ground. It’s light - just 70 grams - light enough to fly by walking backwards in the barest breeze, or even indoors. The wing is nicely balanced for graceful freestyle flying and remains buoyant in fluky wind. In the air it has precision and presence, with the responsive line feel of a larger kite. Got some wind? No problem. The 4-D is super light, but not super fragile and it’s as happy to fly in 10 mph as it is in 0. It has a solid carbon high-modulus frame that you can practically tie in a knot without breaking. The sail is ultralight Icarex polyester and Mylar laminate. Limiters on the bridle prevent over- or under- tuning the kite for the wind so you don’t miss the sweet spot. The frame breaks down to 23″ and comes in a sweet padded case. Comes with a 50# x 50ft Dyneema lineset, the perfect weight and length for quick response and limited drag. If you like to fly inside, there’s room in the case for a second, shorter lineset so you can hone your skills inside on those dark winter days. Beautifully crafted by the kite experts at Prism Designs. With 25 years in flight, we’re committed to sharing the joy of kites with exquisitely designed, long-lasting products and all the info and support you need to have a blast in the wind.
The 4-D Ultralight Stunt Kite from Prism will fly anytime, anywhere when almost nothing else will fly. Flying with the precision and presence of a much larger kite, the 4-D's smaller 58-inch wingspan allows it to fly unimpeded through smaller spaces and even indoors. An ideal kite for beginning and expert fliers alike, the 4-D dual-line sport kite has a balanced and responsive line feel that is not twitchy like many small kites. Weighing in at barely 2.5 ounces, the ultra-light 4-D has the buoyancy to stay airborne in inconsistent breezes and is forgiving in turbulent winds, giving its flier a chance to recover as the gust passes. Indoors, the flier's walking pace is enough to send the 4-D aloft, providing enough lift for a huge range of graceful aerobatics. With even more pull and stability than its predecessor, the world endurance indoor flying record holder, the 3-D, the 4-D offers a much wider 0 to 15-mile per hour wind range--truly impressive for such a lightweight kite.
But super light doesn't have to mean super-fragile--the 4-D boasts a super-stiff but tough high-modulus, solid carbon frame that can bend in a circle without breaking. The 4-D's sails are meticulously constructed from ultra-light Icarex polyester sailcloth and Mylar laminate for gossamer weight and a sheen like a cut gem look as it passes in front of the sun. The 4-D frame folds down to just 23 inches and fits in a beautiful padded case that is easy to carry in any pack or suitcase. A clever wingtip fitting instantly tensions and de-tensions the kite's leading edge with no knots to fumble with for nearly instant assembly. The kite's bridle is clean and simple with limit knots so you're always within the adjustment range. Finally, the included 50-foot Spectra flying lines are the perfect length for smaller spaces while still allowing plenty of length for outdoor flying. In addition, there is room in the case for a second, shorter lineset for indoor flying.
Whether you're a freestyle fanatic or a beginning enthusiast, the 4-D will perform a huge range of tricks without feeling heavy, and offer a great line of flight regardless of your experience level. The 4-D is a great choice for any flier who wants versatility and fun for nearly any wind (or lack of wind) conditions.

Prism was founded in 1992 by a couple of guys who fell in love with the wind. Prism's creators starting out making high-tech, dual-line stunt kites when the sport was still young. Introducing space age materials such as graphite composites, Spectra, and Kevlar to the ancient art of kite flying, Prism helped redefine a pastime for a fanatical few. As the sport grew and evolved, so did Prism. While stunt kites will always remain at the core of Prism's most technical design challenges, today Prism works to bring flight to more casual fliers as well--whether you're looking for the perfect single liner for a family outing, the challenge of ripping up the sky with a stunt kite, or the exhilaration and heart-pumping thrill of a power kite--Prism has something to offer. Today Prism is recognized worldwide as the gold standard in kite design and technology, dedicated to putting the magic of flight at your fingertips wherever you go.
